White Sands Dunes, Early Morning

March 19, 2021

If you are lucky enough to experience White Sands National Park in the early morning, you get to watch as dunes wake up to the morning sun. At first with no direct sun they can appear bluish, then as the sun comes over the horizon we see a color shift to a warm glow. Finally, as the sun gets high in the sky the sands glow a blazing white.

This photo was taken at sunrise and shows the shift in color, just as the first rays of the sunlight begin to kiss the desert floor.

Limited addition prints and a box set can be found HERE
